WPT Seminole Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open Final Table Set

The final table of the WPT Seminole Rock ?n? Roll Poker Open is set. One of the six returning players will walk away with $778,490.

The WPT Seminole Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open attracted 1,566 entrants but only six remain in contention for the $778,490 top prize and the title of World Poker Tour champion.

The money bubble burst during Level 16 on Day 2. Andrew Esposito led for 18,000 on an Ad-Jd-6h-9c board, only for Selahaddin Bedir to raise to 45,000. Esposito responded with a 95,000 all-in bet, which Bedir called. Bedir showed Ah-Qh, Esposito Ac-2c, and the 8h river sent the latter to the rail.

Esposito’s elimination paved the way for the surviving 196 players to share the $5,011,200 WPT Seminole Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open prize pool. The likes of Adam Hendrix, Alex Foxen, Ali Imsirovic, and Martin Finger busted early in the money.

Jim Collopy, Matthew Waxman, Nate Silver, and Pavel Plesuv lasted longer but fell before Day 3’s end.

Bicknell Headlines WPT Seminole Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open Penultimate Day

Day 4 saw 15 players return to their seats. Canada’s Kristen Bicknell was the biggest name in the field but one of the shortest stacks. Bicknell busted in 15th when here Ah-Jc lost to the As-Qd of Jacob Ferro.

Austria’s Daniel Rezaei was the next high-profile casualty, busting in 14th. Former WSOP Main Event finalist Joseph Cheong dusted off his stack in 10th. He committed the last of his chips with 7h-5h against the Ks-Qc of Harout Ghazarian.

Cheong’s exit set the final table, but WPT official final tables play out six-handed.

Ari Dinov’s time at the final table was short-lived. Dinov got a little frisky with Kc-Ks on a 8s-7h-5s-Th board and ran into the Td-8d of Ferro.

Nicholas Davidson’s elimination in eighth reduced the player count by one. Also, it left the WPT Seminole Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open on the final table bubble. Davidson shoved with As-Qc on an Ah-7d-7s-9h-8s board. The move would have worked had Bedir not held 9s-9d for a full house.

Willie Wiggins is the man who finished in seventh. A raising war broke out on the 8s-5h-2s-As turn that saw Wiggins jam all-in with Ah-8h. Ghazarian called with Ks-6s, which held when the Jc completed the community cards.

Ferro returns in second place, hot on the heels of the leader. Ferro usually played $200-$500 tournaments but is here in the final six of a $3,500 buy-in event. He is guaranteed his largest-ever score.

Third-placed Clayton Maguire has the most live poker tournament winnings of any of the finalists. Maguire has $3,046,454 in earnings. he won a WSOP bracelet in 2016 for $210,279, and finished second in a $10,000 event at the Wynn Las Vegas for $1,443,757, won by Andrew Moreno.

Bedir sits back down in fifth place. He is on a heater having won $1,581,500 across three events in Cyprus in late August.

Anshul Rai is by far the shortest stack. The Californian only has five big blinds at his disposal, so needs a miracle if he is going to win the WPT Seminole Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open.
